Igneous  Rock

Lava flowing down a volcano

Magma cools inside the Earth and
becomes an igneous rock, such as
granite.  Cooled magma can form
mountains.
Rivers of lava flow down the side of a volcano.
When the lava cools it forms igneous rocks such
as pumice.  Cooled lava can create new land if
the volcano is close to the water.
